Luzerne County has faced many challenges in recent years and needs progressive women's voices to bring much-needed efficiency, transparency and accountability to Luzerne County government.
Progressive Women of NEPA is pleased to endorse our Board Member Maryann Velez and PWNEPA Member Joanna Bryn Smith as candidates for Luzerne County Council in the November 7th PA General Election. Both are experienced committed community leaders who will bring fresh perspectives to Luzerne County Council to develp public policies that are just, rational and based upon empirical evidence rather than politics to move the county forward and improve life for all county residents.
