We recruit, train, fund, and work to elect progressive women in Northeastern Pennsylvania to political office at the local and state levels of government.

Protection from oppression and violence used by individuals and groups in order to suppress others
Our Vision is a healthy democracy in which government establishes and maintains legal, economic and social equity for all people, regardless of sex, race, nationality, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, ability immigration status, or any other characteristic used to oppress individuals or groups.

In honor of their election, we are conducting a membership drive to increase the number of our inaugural members. The one-time $50 membership fee is open only to women who reside in the 7 counties* of NEPA. This special inaugural category will expire on February 1, 2020, when PWNEPA's new by-laws take effect. The Board of Progressive Women of Northeastern Pennsylvania (PWNEPA) is made up of engaged women PAC members. The board establishes a budget, oversees expenditures, and assures that all operations are in compliance with applicable law.
Board members interview women candidates for local and state offices who have completed our candidate questionnaire.
