Progressive Women of NEPA endorsed Jessica Rothchild's successful run for Scranton City Council in 2019 and now proudly endorses her for re-election in Pennsylvania's November 7th General Election. During Jessica's tenure on City Council, Scranton shed Act 47 Distressed Status after three decades, with improvements to its financial sustainability and independence. We need to keep Jessica on Scranton City Council to continue to move the city forward.
Jessica is the only woman and sole progressive voice on Scranton City Council. She demonstrates PWNEPA's values as a strong proponent of civil rights. While serving on Council Jessica has stood up against discrimination, bigotry, and hateful rhetoric while promoting just policies for all residents.
